Enter the Purging Zone

Purge- to clear of guilt ; to free from moral or ceremonial defilement. This is a message laid upon my heart. It is so funny how one statement, or certain words can be said that just awaken your intellect, open your soul, and intrigue your heart all in the same breath.

It is a consensus that everyone wants to live a life that is pleasing and aligned to what God has asked of us. However, let's be real...THAT IS NOT GOING TO BE THE CASE 100 PERCENT! Because we are also of the flesh, we are going to fall, mess up, and deviate from the path that our Awesome Father has laid for us. Hey, It happens. The fact is however, not what you have done, but what you do once you have done it.

The word of God tells us, "Even if you have been banished to the most distant land under the heavens, from there the LORD your God will gather you and bring you back." Somebody should have lifted a hand, voice, or heart upward and thanked God, because we could have been, should have been, and would have been many things if God did not step in. The liar, the cheater, the gossiper, even the believer; We all could have been in hospitals, jails, or even six feet under, however God stepped in and made a way even through our biggest messes. That is why this passage is so detailed. When it says "the most distant land" God knew that we would stray at some point and time and some further than others. He has an answer to ever troubled mind.

One of the biggest problems with us as Christians is that we do not know how to forgive ourselves. It could be years down the line, we have transformed our lives, however we are still bound within. This all residing because we will not forgive the "us" inside. God is not like man, He knows that we're not perfect. He knows that we will fall, but how can we ask Him to forgive us and we cannot find the way to forgive ourselves? We are missing out on blessings and elevating to a higher ground because we won't let it go. My friend, I charge you now, let go of that problem, that situation, that past relationship, that unthinkable deed, that sin that one can't mention; LET IT GO! And once you do, you will find that God has already done so, and you will find freedom.

When you enter that purging zone, you will not even be able to witness calmly all the things God will begin to do in your life. Through people, things, and avenues, God will begin to set you apart, make a way when you didn't think one would ever exist. All God wants is for us to acknowledge that we have disobeyed Him. (trust me He already knows) He is not like man where we do not forgive, or we judge and talk about each other. However, what God does promise is that if we repent of our sins, He will forgive and fill us where we have become vacant. The word tells us, in II Chronicles 7:14; "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." His words are not said to sound good like we earthly inhabitants exhibit. God's words are full of promise and inevitability. If He said it, it's already done.

As I close, I just want you to know that not one person in this life will get out of this world free of sin. If so, show me because I need to know them. Do not be confused about God's promises. Many times we mistake Him for the people we interact with everyday, but I have come to tell you that that mindset stops just as soon as I end this sentence. SENTENCE ENDED! The change of mindset starts here. The change of encumberment stops here. The hindrance of oneself stops here. The battle within oneself STOPS HERE! Know that God loves you, cares for you, and His hand is ever so constant. Release the chains that have you bound because God already has. Kneel down... clasp your hands...bow your head...close your eyes...and ENTER THE PURGING ZONE!

The pen just had to testify!

God Bless!
