God's Promises

God said we can move mountains;

Well tell Mount Everest to hold its ground.

He promised we can have what we speak;

So, I declare I shall dwell in the profound.

God said He won’t send us on journeys, without advising us on how to prepare;

So, even in the valley of the shadow of death--- I’ll never fear to go there…"

Trust God! It is a full proof plan!

The Power of the Tongue

Lethal, toxic, poison possessed--all sentiments of this being;
Navigating through all things, growing stronger as its achieving.
The strength it obtains destroys the masses, and breaks down even the highest summit;
It's compacted with complex entities;
Even the strongest man can die from it.
Yield to the word, don't allow your intellect to be hung.
For this weapon doesn't discriminate;
It will destroy----the lethal tongue.

Euphoria

Never believing in maybe,what-ifs,or possible opportunity;

Dwelling in a state of euphoric progression,which effortlessly consumes me.

Anchored in an abundance with overflow maintaining;

Covered in a centralized embrace one would call sustaining.

The mere existence of anything still couldn't replace this omnipotent stronghold;

Because the vision--Him dying on the cross for me;

Amongst all others has me sold.

The Race

Relentless, tenacious, never-ending in my quest;

Not a competition, showdown, or even a simple contest.

For the race is open to all for multiple entry;

But this race can only be ran by Myself, I, and me.

It's a race that must be completed no single question rendered;

On your mark...get set...Go...

Negativity beware---On the task, my mind is centered.

A Word for Strength

Life may seem unbearable when we choose to walk alone.

However, realize God may sit high, but His vision goes beyond the thrown.

Call out to the Lord, and He will answer unto His child which you are;

For there is nothing more pleasing to God, than adding peace where there was once a scar."

Gone in 60 Seconds

On your Mark...Get Set... Wait a minute, it was called a scratch;

Releasing over and over our mind's substance, and now it's ready to hatch.

Constantly awaiting a world record breaking show; It's now at 10 seconds;

Pow!---racers get ready...now GO.

At 20 seconds it deems necessary for a single retraction;

Paying very close attention yet missing the action.

Leaning into understanding classified as continual;

Realizing we are inhibited by our possessed residual.

The hand has now ticked, and tocked equaling 30 seconds;

We try to refrain from negativity, but life has seen "chance" beckon.

Fear holds much weight, yet strength has not waved its white flag;

It is now 40 seconds---time for retaliation, for you've been tagged.

50 seconds resides bringing maturation and acceptance;

Realizing the state of events avoiding divulgence.

Reality has placed weights which we have acquired over times hence;

Instead of broadening the encumbered, we decorate it with festering's fence.

Time passes quicker than our cognitive can follow;

Expression of the unfavorable causes the hearts to seem hollow.

Just as we feel we've master the entities that caused us to go insane;

We realize that the same fiasco has started again.

So, we find ourselves running that same race of congruence;

We think we've understood---

But then again; It's gone in 60 seconds.

Battlegrounds

Oh, it's gonna be a battle, a great brawl-an uprising in the midst.

Must the complexities of life arise to take control of this?

A big show down of the massive entities reigning supreme over all others present;

A battle is arising on the battlegrounds.

Battleground, territory, the place of this magnified challenge, is in preparation for a fest;

A fest of the top emotions brewing in this contest.

Not Tyson, not Ali, Balboa, nor Holy field;

But this is indeed a battle of what she is suppose to feel.

It's containing the limits, and suppressed notions that aren't acknowledged, but exist;

Exhale with no air;

Breathing with suffocation;

Submitting the unreleased;

Reviving the sedation.

A battle is arising on the battlegrounds.

Fear; and emotional response to death and anger-well responding is underway.

But not as a hidden measure, but as an out pour of her mind's replay.

Relentless visions appearing as the present;

Not full as a moon but only its crescent;

Shielding off wounds as they didn't exist;

Warding off emotions others can't resist.

A battle is arising on the battlegrounds.

Surrender, submit, release the guard that's been put in place;

Much like the common passage, in order to see we must first taste.

But the issue in this matter is that her buds may not align,

For with the taste of surrendering there is no single warning sign.

Elevating with a decline;

Rising with a fall;

Complete with an emptiness;

Going forth with a stall.

A battle is arising on the battlegrounds.

LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!

Fear and surrender take your place.

Lying dormant so long has worn out its welcome, and now this uprising is making haste.

The best will reign and supercede that which is in the opposition -known as defeat;

A battle is arising on the battlegrounds;

Heart and soul take your seat.

Inevitability

If there were no pains, we wouldn’t know it existed.

If we didn’t understand the highs of life, we’d be compelled to think it was constricted.

If we never shed a tear, we wouldn’t know the value of a smile;

Not realizing that’s what we longed for all the while.

Yet the inconsistencies in life show us that there can be,

A mode in our lives where we are freed.

We see the highs and lows,
the hurts and the pain;

However, we’ve learned that it helps us appreciate those things we gain.

The greater the test(s), the more profound the TESTimony becomes!

He Has Emotions Too...

There is an endless fall he takes, that has no tangible limit;

He just keeps descending; descending, from the world’s highest summit.

This fall examines everything that has to make its due;

but the issue comes into play because he can’t acknowledge it’s true.

To fall, descend, plunge, into a world with no reservations;

The essence of speaking unexpected words that obtain no translations.

The feeling of speaking a language that no one seems to understand;

the mere thought of displaying an action without being giving the first command.

Nothing makes inclusive sense, and nothing eases his pain;

He continues trying to figure, just how he can establish gain.

However, though he ponders about this ordeal, and continuously battles for a reply;

He persistently falls, descends, and plunges further and further from life’s abundant sky.

The pen just had to testify!

Action...Reaction

We fell...He caught.

We needed...He sought.

We cried...He comforted.

We drowned...He swam right in.

Rain poured...He sheltered.

They left...He welcomed.

The world lied...He knew.

They saw you...He saw through.

We were weak...He made us strong.

Possessed a voice...Obtained no song.

We gave up...He waited still.

He knew the truth...Despite the rumor mill.

Running to Him...we choose to stall.

But on a cross...He paid it all!

We're justified by the blood he shed...revives the souls of the living dead.

The pen just had to testify!

HIM

He thought I did not notice his eyes wandering in my direction;

But, unless I had a peep whole attached to my anatomy, he had to know I observed his every suspicion.

It wasn’t just HIM whose heart throbbed like a obese man’s hypertension,

But I too raised a brow when I observed his outward dimension.

It was as if the room stood still, and only we obtained a kinetic state;

Realizing that in reality, all moved, but in an upward motion did go my heart rate!

He was like the Strait of Gibraltar, I knew he’d lead to something with much more substance;

A stride so commanding;

A heart understanding;

A mind in a higher realm;

Embrace you, but never overwhelm.

A voice with possessed strength;

Even possessing only a dollar he’ll give his asked tenth.

Yea, that’s what I saw in HIM.

He was a man with a stance much like the Eiffel Tower;

He stood there with a magnetic presence that contained much power.

A strong black man with an almond skin hue;

Awaiting, praying to the Most High that it would be me that he’d positively subdue.

He thought I seemed familiar as we acquainted ourselves;

However, I was amazed of the likeness of our entities, and stories shared off our lives’ shelves.

It was as if he died and was reincarnated as my own ear;

Regurgitating the information of my own deepest secrets.

Hesitating, not to scare HIM away;

not realizing I already had HIM just as a calendar’s weekday.

He finally approached me as my heart began to race;

He reached out his hand and gave a slight “hello” dead in my face.

I responded with a “hey” myself answering every question given unto me;

Ladies give me an Amen, if you know my stomach was as rocky as the Mediterranean Sea.

I told HIM that I lost my will to trust in men that came my way;

In a father, any male capacity I was failed as the night overtakes the day.

He told me that I wasn’t alone for he feared emotions too;

Telling me, “Men aren’t the only ones who hurt you, women can fail just like men do.”

We talked more and more about the insecurities that life had added unto us;

As he began to tell me more I could feel my heart thrust.

He told me that he was interested in my mind spirit and soul;

Not to be confused with the other lies that previous men told.

You see he wanted a Proverbs 31 woman, ladies do you hear what I say?

A woman that was his helpmate, and not just sticking around for payday.

I whole heartedly agreed with all he dreamed to have;

For I wanted a man that walked that same path.

A man who knew God’s plan would always occur,

That he needed a woman so hidden in Christ, he would have to go through God to find her.

I want a man that is God’s man and never acts before he prays;

Understanding that we all fall short, I still need someone who mirrors His ways.

A head of my household, a father to my seed;

You see I need a man who gives before he even sees the need.

One who lets me walk with HIM, knowing he would lead the life;

I need a man who doesn’t want a “baby mama” but what he wants is a wife.

The HIM I saw provoked my future to flash before my eyes;

Seeing what could be, allowed my intuition to rise.

It was told, HER thoughts and expressions laid out before you,

So, I had to let the pen testify about HIM in this…Part II.

A Word for the Enemy

It may look as if they’re winning, if visualized with a face value's eye.

Don't be fooled in the midst of what's seen on the surface;

God's manual is what we go by.

They talk about you...let it slide.

They criticize you...let it be.

They scandalize what God's given you, because
they don't see the same as He.

Know your worth, and let NO man take it away. It's not being narcissistic, it is just being identified!!!

Testimony of His Greatness

Never can I repay an act like yours, Never would I even try.

Receiving a touch to heal, to save;

The sparrow doesn't monopolize your eye.

Engulfed in a world of inconsistencies and ever-changing negativity;

Thank you is an understatement for how the Lord continuously secures me.

A Word for Reassurance

I needed...He gave;

Before Him...enslaved.

I asked...He granted;

His love...enchanted.

Lost my song...Received a melody.

When I sinned...He forgave me.

It runneth over...the blessed cup.

When in trouble...I JUST LOOK UP!
